Restoration of spirit

James Thoughts, Meditation, Metaphysical, Spirituality No Comments »

I have been very fortunate to be spending the last couple of days in Kennebunkport, Maine. It has been a much needed break and very restorative to my spirit. This quaint little weekend destination town has a very peaceful energy even with the many who flock to it’s shops and restaurants or it’s many hotels or vacation homes. Kennebunkport some how treats this energy gently and transmutes it to an amazingly soothing vibe. The people here are calm friendly and welcoming even with the constant invasion of outsiders.

The land has a sense of life to it that speaks well of the people in this part of the world. The homes and towns and villages seem not so much to shape the land to their needs as it seems they take their cues from the land. The homes are gently nestled in beautiful nooks of meadow, marsh, sea sides and wood blending harmoniously with the natural enviroments of the land.

I can feel the wholeness of this place. The lands still lives here and is doing what it does best… healing, nuturing and sustaining the people here. Maine is revitalizing my spirit. Maine is healing me. I only hope that I can do something in return for Maine.

Bodhisattvas Vow

Easten thought, Meditation, Spirituality No Comments »

I love the ideas presented in the Bodhisattvas Vow and thought that I would like to share it with you. The Vow is taken by those Buddhists who are enlightened as a vow to stay on earth and to continue to incarnate until all people have been released from the cycle of birth and death and suffering these bring to the unenlightened. These are lofty Ideals that many may say are unachievable but like everything else if you do your best to live up to even a portion of this vow then you are doing great things for the world and the people around you.

Bodhisattvas vow

May I be a guard for those who are protectorless,
A guide for those who journey on the road;
For those who wish to go across the water,
May I be a boat, a raft, a bridge.

May I be an isle for those who yearn for landfall,
And a lamp for those who long for light;
For those who need a resting place, a bed,
For all who need a servant, may I be a slave.

May I be the wishing jewel, the vase of plenty,
A word of power, and the supreme remedy.
May I be the trees of miracles,
And for every being, the abundant cow.

Like the great earth and the other elements,
Enduring as the sky itself endures,
For the boundless multitude of living beings,
May I be the ground and vessel of their life.

Thus, for every single thing that lives,
In number like the boundless reaches of the sky,
May I be their sustenance and nourishment
Until they pass beyond the bounds of suffering

Four Psychic Senses Development Meditation-By James Wortz

Four Psychic Senses Development

Meditation

This Meditation Is designed to help you develop your interaction with your four primary psychic senses. As you are guided through this meditation you will experience various aspects of Clairvoyance, Clairaudience, Clairsentience, and claircognizance. As you work with this meditation over time allow your mind to begin to wander in a free form manner. This will develop your ability to receive psychic information in richer, more in-depth and detailed forms.

  • You will need a quiet space where you will not be disturbed for about 30 minutes. You can do this meditation in any comfortable position (Lying down, sitting on the ground or in a chair, standing or moving). You will need to keep your eyes closed so you may want a blind fold. Try to avoid music or incense or any thins that is going to overwhelm any of your senses.

  • When you are ready find your comfortable position. Begin by doing a quick grounding visualization as well psychically protecting yourself. When you feel protected and grounded begin to breath. As you breathe become aware of your breath as it moves in and out of your body. Spend A few Breaths just you and your breath.

  • Bring your attention to your inner Movie Screen Visualized Just on the back of your eyelids. This screen is Black with nothing showing on it. Stare with your inner eye at the blank black screen for the space of four complete breaths.

  • As you continue to watch the screen with your third eye you notice a fuzzy red light red starts to form on the black screen. At first this Light is faint and it begins to grow brighter and to become more solid and intense as it slowly forms into a sphere of red light floating in black space. Watch as this sphere floats in space for the span of four complete breaths.

  • Now as you watch Begin to hear music coming from the sphere as floats in the blackness. As you listen to the music you realize that the music sounds like the color red. You sit and listen surrounded by red for four breaths.

  • You cannot put your finger on exactly why or how it sounds red but you feel that the music is red. As watch and listen you feel red in all the ways that you can understand red. You feel it moving over and through you as waves of energy. Sit and Allow yourself to become immersed in the feeling for four complete breaths.
  • The waves of energy, the red color and the sound of red become one feeling, one thought all these thoughts coming to an understanding of how they are related.
  • As you watch, listen, and feel all of your senses engaged you suddenly know how the music is red and the music feels red all at once you understand. You know what red is. Sit with this realization for four complete breaths.
  • As you finish the last breath watch as the red sphere begins to fade and become fuzzy and the music and the feeling of red grow fainter. The sphere becomes a red light on the inner movie screen on the back of your eyelids. As you watch the red light starts to turn yellow. The yellow light is fuzzy and starts to grow in intensity as it becomes more solid. As you watch the light becomes a sphere floating in the black space in front of you. Sit watching the sphere floating in the black space for four complete breaths.
  • Continue This exercise as we did for the color red with yellow and blue. End the meditation on the blank screen.Spend a few minutes with your breath as you come back to consciousness this will give you the opportunity to receive any psychic impressions. Take some time and record any notes or impressions in your journal. Try doing this with three different colors green, orange, and purple for example.

  • If you like, after doing this meditation a few times do only one color, any color you like and then end on the blank screen and allow this to lead you into your psychic space.
